VIEW ALL PROCEDURESA root canal is one of the most common dental procedures performed, well over 14 million every year. This simple treatment can save your natural teeth and prevent or delay the need for dental implants or bridges.
With the appropriate care, your teeth that have had endodontic treatment will be functional for years to come. Yet, a tooth that has received treatment may fail to heal or pain may continue to exist. Sometimes, the pain may occur months or years after treatment. If so, Endodontic Retreatment may be needed.
While most root canal procedures are performed for adults, our office is comfortable and capable of treating children. It is very important to maintain our teeth for as long as possible, regardless of age. This is all the more critical for a developing child, so we are prepared and eager to care for children, comfortably and effectively.
Injuries to the mouth can cause teeth to be loosened or dislodged from their sockets. It is important to seek care immediately. Your endodontist or general dentist may reposition and stabilize your tooth. If root canal treatment is deemed necessary, it must be started within 1-2 weeks of the injury.
